• On the one hand, many people and institutions across the United States believe in DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) and it is used openly in hiring. Biden himself talks about DEI openly.
• But simultaneously Trump is racist for simply pointing it out. ???

The reason D.E.I. is often seen as a negative nowadays, by people across all parties, has nothing to do with race or gender or sexual orientation. It is because it perpetuates the myth that we should treat people according to the color of their skin instead of viewing people as individuals. Plus, it vastly narrows the pool of people to choose from, therefore logically narrowing the talent pool. Again, nothing whatsoever to do with race or skin color.
The vast majority of Americans don't even think about race.
