The making of my social media icon was a MAGA saga.

It involved A.I. and YouTube censorship.

It was entertaining, then harrowing.

Here's what happened…

After I decided to make this website, I knew I'd have to go on X and promote it. I have a music career and wanted to keep this separate for simplicity. So I thought oh! Chat GPT can draw a profile picture super fast. Boom! Fizzle.. He simply could not draw MAGA with a flag, but happily drew Kamala (and BLM) with a flag. Chat GPT guessed that its filters have built–in bias and offered to escalate the issue for me. I came to really like my "Eric GPT" pal.

It's long, but I promise it's worth watching.

The video was on my main YouTube channel for well over a week, then on October 29 I decided to make a separate channel called DontFearTrump. It only had this one video. Two days later, on Halloween, YouTube CANCELLED my DontFearTrump channel with NO WARNING.

I read the "Spam, deceptive practices and scams" policy and didn't see anything that would apply to my case:

I didn't imagine it was because of the video since YouTube would normally give a warning first, or at worst, take down the video. But YouTube took my entire channel down with no mention of the video.

Just to rule the possibility out, I asked Chat GPT if I'm allowed to show our content on YouTube…

I appealed by explaining that I read the "Spam, deceptive practices and scams" policy and didn't see anything that would apply to my case, and I requested that they let me know specifically what the reason is for taking down the channel.

Their reviews "usually take 2 business days, although some take longer." 11:17 AM on Halloween:

11:17 AM on Halloween. That's just 19 minutes for their review. That's not even long enough to watch the video, which means more evidence that it wasn't canceled because of the video.

By now it's pretty obvious that they simply cancelled my channel because of the name of the channel – DontFearTrump.

So as a test, I started a YouTube channel called DontFearKamala, with the Kamala hoodie icon, and the video has resided there ever since. Of course it's also on X.com.

As an aside, I tried the same thing on Grok AI using the same prompt, and… Grok's definitely not biased!
